I loaned money to an ex who is currently unemployed. What is the best way to get this money back?
Last May, I have paid my ex money (under $ 500). We broke up about 3 months later and I have not seen any of it back. I'm a college student can not work and really, really need this money back. The problem is that this person is unemployed. How I can get this money? NOT signed. Ok, so I have a recording a telephone conversation which recognizes that owes me money. In addition, I used graduation money I had saved for years, so there are no states bank account. They said the money was for a down payment for something and the next day I found two receipts in a store random things. All this was discussed on the recording. "I can sue for legal costs as well?
Unfortunately, you're screwed. Without documentation of the loan that you really have no evidence that was ever made. Learn from it. Never loan money to friends, family or lovers who are not willing to give 100%. If you want to give money to someone, not hesitate. But money lending by those banks that are not usually a bad idea. In general, an excellent reason why the banks money to someone loan. Thinking of you know loan money better than banks usually do is a very bad bet. Good luck.
